Béatrice Raymond-Lessard

Ph. D. candidate, Psychology intern

Béatrice Raymond-Lessard is currently completing her doctoral studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Under the supervision of Dr. Claude Bélanger and Dr. Sébastien Grenier, his doctoral thesis focuses on the anxious and depressive symptoms characterizing subjective cognitive disorder.

She completed her internship at the psychology clinic at UQAM and her first internship at the anxiety disorders clinic at the Douglas Mental Health Institute. These experiences allowed her to deepen a cognitive and behavioral model for assessment and intervention. She’s familiar with several clinical issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, body dysmorphia and food related issues. Her intervention model is inspired by acceptance and commitment therapy where the individual is invited to engage in his life according to his values while going through his pain considered as an integral part of the human experience. However, she can adapt to the needs of her clients.

She can receive people experiencing identity questions driven by a desire to better understand themselves as people experiencing more severe conditions. She advocates a human approach centered on the unique resources of each individual. The establishment of a solid therapeutic alliance and a warm climate of trust is
central to her practice. With gentleness and kindness, she carefully accompanies her patients through the doubts and pitfalls that can befall growth.

Béatrice currently practices under the clinical supervision of Dr. Mélanie Laberge. She offers individual psychotherapy services in French and English to adults and young adults. She agrees to carry out her follow-ups face-to-face, remotely or in a hybrid model.
